Prabir Barooah received his Ph.D. in 2007 from the University of California, Santa Barbara. From 1999 to 2002 he was a research engineer at United Technologies Research Center, East Hartford, CT. He received the M. S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware in 1999 and the B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 1996. He was born in Jorhat, Assam, India. Dr. Barooah is the winner of the ASEE SE Section’s Outstanding Researcher Award (2013), NSF CAREER award (2010), General Chairs' Recognition Award for Interactive papers at the 48th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (2009), best paper award at the 2nd Int. Conf. on Intelligent Sensing and Information Processing (2005), and NASA group achievement award (2003).

Aditya Chaudhari


Aditya received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, in May 2021. Till December 2021 he was a Research Associate at IIT Bombay. Aditya joined DiCE Lab in December 2021 as a Postdoctoral Researcher.


Distributed coordination, multi-agent control, coordination of flexible loads to provide demand side service to the power grid.

Austin Coffman


Austin received both his B.S. (Aerospace Engineering) and M.S. (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Florida in 2013 and 2016, respectively. He began his PhD studies in May 2017. After graduation he hopes to work in industry solving complex engineering problems. His hobbies include tennis, cycling, hiking, and trying new food and drink.

Zhong Guo


Zhong Guo earned his bachelors of engineering in mechanical engineering from Henan University of Science of Technology in June 2017. He completed his masters degree studies at the University of Florida in Spring 2019. He hopes to become a university professor after graduation. His hobbies include soccer, basketball, volleyball, cooking and camping.
